Welcome to my personal website!
My name is Brian Stengele and I am the founder & head
instructor of Eastern Ontario Primitive School.
With over fifteen years of experience, I have
spent time
living close to the earth in every environment in North America with
the
exception of the high Arctic. As a conservationist, naturalist and professional outdoor educator,
I
have a
passion for teaching the skills necessary to help my students gain a
new
respect and understanding of nature.
When not in the field teaching, I like to spend my
time
tracking and photographing local wildlife, working with local youth
organizations to help them integrate nature programming, advocating for
the role of primitive skills in formal educational settings and
performing
research in the non-profit sector.
I am also a proud contributing
member of
the following
professional organizations:
The
Council of Outdoor Educators of Ontario
The
Society of Primitive Technology
The
National Association of Search and Rescue
The
International Society of Professional
Trackers
